
Based on the overwhelming attendance of Dr. Saxena’s community-based lectures, we realized early on that the community is truly interested in learning about various perspectives among health issues today.
We know that real change is difficult to make without an understanding of how all aspects of great health come together and realized that an occasional lecture is just not enough to understand such complex health concepts. Our lectures are designed to address all aspects of optimal living as well as in-depth education on the most commonly experienced health conditions.
The Center for Living Wellness ‘University’ offers multiple lectures and hands-on educational events throughout the month. Lectures include: Chronic Disease Reversal, You Are What You Eat, Unraveling Food Allergies, Your Healthy Pantry, Hormone Health, Preconception and Prenatal Health, just to name a few.
In addition to our clinical/nutritional lectures, we also offer The Healthy Gourmand nutritious cooking classes two nights per month. The term ‘gourmand’ defines a ‘person who takes great pleasure in food’. In our society today, we equate ‘great pleasure in food’ with ‘overindulgence’. What a great way for families and friends to get together to learn more quick, delicious and healthy recipes. You’ll love our spin on cooking as we discuss the nutrient profile of each dish, favorite products on your grocery store shelves, foods to avoid and why, as well as enjoying the delicious dishes we cook up together! Topics include: Vegetarian, Low-Glycemic/Low-Fat, Authentic Indian, Comfort Foods with a Healthy Twist, Tricky Cookin’ Mama, Cooking for Food Allergies, just to name a few.
