Body Defined
A fast results, music-driven class designed to build muscular strength and improve agility. This is a full-body, weight training workout moving from large to small muscle groups, using the progressive resistance exercise (PRE) principle. It will improve your fat burning ability and muscle definition. Because this class is personalized, you will be working with a weight selection that is right for you – making this class appropriate for all levels. Lifting weights has never been so much fun!
New You!
Welcome to the New You! This class is designed to help you introduce or re-introduce your body to movement therapy. We will start by building an aerobic base with fun, easy-to-follow cardio movement, followed by functional strength exercises to increase your strength and give you energy to tackle every life activities with ease. We finish with core exercises and a relaxing stretch to increase flexibility. If you are new to exercise or haven’t been regularly exercising, this is the class for you!
Flow Yoga
Through careful attention to alignment, creative sequencing, and hands on attention, we will explore the balance between a powerful, challenging flow while seeking ease and freedom in each pose. This style of yoga consists of a continuous series of postures which are linked together with a flow of connecting movements (vinyasa). The practice is synchronized with careful attention to breathing to build internal heat, focus and strength. With the body in motion, the mind releases and slips into a quiet place. A great class to take your yoga to the next level.
Hatha
Yoga is an art-in-motion practice originating in India that focuses on restoring balance to the body and mind. The Hatha Yoga class moves into one discrete pose at a time with focus on alignment and form; covering in detail the core asanas as well as yogic breath. A great class for students new to a yoga practice. Students develop greater flexibility, body strength and a more balanced mental state. Feel your stress melt away!
Step-ology
Classic step redone – heart pumping, energizing, fun to follow….. Time flies when you’re having this much fun! Step aerobics provides endurance training, which helps maintain the health of our cardiovascular system, burn calories, and the strength component of step aerobics helps improve muscle tone and balance. Fresh choreography and upbeat music provide the essential ingredients for this fun, classic workout. The hour will be over before you know it! Core and stretch included.
Vital Fitness
This energizing class is designed to keep your body guessing by offering an interval-based format. Vital Fitness has tremendous benefits like, reducing body fat and blood pressure, increase stamina and increase good cholesterol……… not bad for just 3 hours per week . We start with a warm-up and progress to intervals of cardio and resistance training. As your body adapts to the physical demands you will become more fit, this class will always offer you challenges to get you to the next level. Join us for a heart pumping hour – it does the body good!
Yoga Basics
The 2 hour introduction to yoga course offers students who are new to yoga a step-by-step introduction to the fundamentals of the yoga postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama) and yogic philosophy. We highly recommend this foundation course when beginning your yoga practice. This course is offered the first Saturday of each month and can be taken in conjunction with regular Hatha classes.
